Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

The conclusion of the essay "speedy narrow" was a great way to end the story. The author towards the end explains us about one last incident that took place at a bar before Paul died. Towards the end the author did a great job by explaining to the readers how Paul died and also how his parents died, because that was a question continuously rising in my mind. The author also gives us an image about how old he was, when he wrote the essay, and what he does for living. The author ends the essay in a way, which tells the readers he misses his brother Paul, by stating that he hasn't written in a poem since his brothers death. The author also stated towards the end that no matter what him and his brother went through together, they still loved each other.
