"Sparrow Needy" from Kenyon Review has a conclusion that shows how he really felt about his brother and how this book he had dedicated to him , he wasn't sure if he even read this book. Shows that even when you do lose someone , they will always matter to you and leave thoughts in back of your mind.
Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

"Sparrow Needy" from Kenyon Review in the beginning talks about how growing up in Harlem there was this bully who had killed someone and he feared him. Him and all of his friends. He talks about how his brother witnessed a murder, he feels bad for him. Paul seen all this stuff and hes just a normal kid who reads books and talks to his janitor, they surprised him with a birthday party which is not normal for a kid at his age but i guess hes one lucky kid to have them. Knowing he went through seeing a whole murder scene.
