Syllabus Entry

Upon reading the syllabus I was able to gain an understanding of what to expect and how to plan for the upcoming events. That being said upon reading the syllabus I was glad to see a cohesive course that has already been planned for us. Besides the parts and chapters, we have to read I was gladder to see the grading formula to be more merciful than my other professors in which the four formal writing assignments count for 60%. The fact that over half our grade is in our hands and we have more liberty in those assignments is a highlight for myself and I assume my classmates.

My experience with reading and writing has been an interesting one for the most part of my life I was never interested in the idea of staring at a paper with words on them as they would bore me and make me sleepy. None the less I was always a proficient writer and during high school, I pursued writing as a hobby and later a role in a magazine. I had an online blog that my friend and I use to run but as I grew further away from the internet I became less interested in the idea of posting my writing to entertain others. Reading shifted from never reading and religiously not going to my English classes to a sudden awakening through a teacher who struck a chord in me. I was always into the creative arts more or less paintings, design, and film but the teacher helped me realize that literature is arguably the most prolific and superpower like art there is.
